Nortel VPN : User did not acknowledge the baner
« on: December 06, 2013, 02:30:59 AM »
I use "Nortel VPN Client 10.04.016" and trying to connect to my office network from home using a ADSL2+  teracom TAD110 modem. I get the error "User did not acknowledge the banner".

If i connect using a different modem, I am able to connect. Any help to resolve my issue will be greatly appreciated. I saw all the posts but could not get answer/resolution to my issue.

Typically a banner error message is due to a firewall blocking part of the negotiation or a router doing NAT badly and not being IPSec aware enough to leave it alone.  You said you tried it on another modem and it works.  Then I would have to look at the modem where it doesn't work and see if there are settings in there to allow IPSec to pass through.
