Nortel Contivity 1740 hang many times a day !!!

Hi everyone.
Our company using Nortel Contivity 1740 for both IPSec tunnel & Remote user ( PPTP & IPSec)
I provide user with two kind of client software : one was old Nortel VPN software, another was new Avaya VPN software.
Sometime, Contivity 1740 crash , we still can ping its interface but cannot telnet, web console, Serial console.
It not consistence, sometime crash 2,3 times per day , sometimes whole week working fines.
I am so confuse .So, could we checking log ? what kind of log to identify what the problem like DoS from Internet or Software failure because of incompatible VPN software.
Please advice me any thing about Contivity 1740, I am not familiar with this.

What software version are you running on it?
