SIP provisioning
« on: June 07, 2016, 05:08:17 PM »
Is it possible to setup config files on my TFTP server for each of my devices?  i.e., most of my other SIP phones are configured from xml files stored on my TFTP server with the mac address as the name of the file or some similar variant.  Currently my 1120's and 1140's all request the same file from my TFTP server: 1120e.cfg 1140e.cfg

From the reading i've found, it looks like a device config file can be loaded on to the phones directly but i'm trying to find an easy way to configure and manage several hundred of these devices.  I know i can load the domain on the device config file but that would still require going to each phone and logging in and our SIP credential passwords are very long alphanumeric passwords that would be a pain to key in.

As you can tell i'm a novice when it comes to these handsets.  Any advice or direction where to find out how to remotely provision these devices would be greatly appreciated.
