How can I correlate TN's, DN's and Handset MAC addresses?
« on: May 30, 2013, 11:17:32 AM »
Good afternoon all

Congrats on a great forum, the best Nortel / Avaya resource I have found yet  ;D

I am troubleshooting a CS1000e / Nortel 1140e deployment and I'm trying to track down all the handsets who's VoiceVLAN has not been configured and are therefore residing in th wrong subnet.  I have the list of MAC addresses of the target handsets from the DHCP server but I can't seem to find a way to correlate that to the TN's in the Element Manager.  is there a report I can run that can help me?

Many Thanks
Adam

Can't tell you how to do in Element Manager but if you have a terminal session, do the following:

LD 117
OAM000

=> stip termip 172.16

(example if you want to find any phones using the 172.16.x.x subnet; search is leftwise.)

TN          type     HWID                  STATUS    HOSTIP.
116 0 5  23 1120     MAC:                  REG       172.18.61.22    172.16.11.174:5000      [::]:5000
                     18001bbaf701576624    DTLS SUP:NO   ENCR:INSEC
  CODEC(BW):   G711u noVAD(1904), G711a noVAD(1904), G729A(784)
  MODEL:      1120E IP Deskphone              FWID:   24  FWVer:  C8Q   PEC:    NTYS03AA

(MAC field: drop the first 2 and last 4 characters to get the 12 digit phone MAC).

In Element Manager or at the CLI interface of the Signaling Server I believe isetShow will provide you all those details.

Good Luck!
