Hi,
I have a strange issue at one of our offices. There is a 2-unit stack of Nortel 5510s running FW:6.0.0.10 & SW:v6.1.4.010. The switch is operating as the Layer 3 device forwarding between local VLANs and site routers. Some employees with Dell Vostro PCs may connect to their local (office) VLAN wirelessly and access local (VLAN) devices, however they then cannot connect to any devices on any of the other site VLANs or off-site.
I have checked the 5510 bridge table and can see the wireless card mac addresses (38:59:f9:8f:fb:95 is the address of one affected PC), however the address are not being registered in the ARP table.
The PCs are DHCP controlled, all of the information is received (from an off-site server) and applied to the PC as expected, however it appears as though the switch stack cannot register the wireless MAC address in its ARP table. The PCs cannot ping their default gateway (5510 stack).
Has anyone seen anything like this?
