VSP7000 routing and OOB interface issue
« on: October 11, 2013, 10:44:57 PM »
Not sure if anyone has seen this, but I found it curious.

if you have a VSP7000 and configured the OoB mgmt IP interface. You lose that interface the second you enable local forwarding.

When you enter in the "IP ROUTING" command you let a message you might lose IP MGMT features. The second you hit enter and choose yes you lose the IP MGMT interface.

its not a show stopper, but I do find it very curious.

8600's would route out the OOB interface if a default route was configured on it.  We had to keep them all as 192.168.1.X to get around that since we are a 10.X.X.X network internally.

Seems like someone didn't realize they need to be separated, even on the new platform.
