For SNMPv2 it looks like this:

snmp-server community public group readgrp index 1 secname ro

And for SNMPv3 it woul look like this:
snmp-server group "example_grp" "" auth-priv read-view cbc write-view cbc notify-view cbc
snmp-server user USERNAME group example_grp sha public aes private

Good Luck

You can use the group initial if you donīt want to create a group.
The initial group is predefined from Avaya.

If you want to use the GUI via the COM , you simple add the community in the credential manager of the COM,
and run a discover with the IP address of your VSP. You also need to have the correct EDM plugin for the software release that is running on your VSP.

The alternative is to acces the EDM via HTTP/HTTPS.
For that you would have to enable the web server and create a user account for the web interface:
web-server password rwa USERNEME PASSWORD

head broke why SNMP not working. ::) Finally found a string "boot config flags block-snmp" in VSP configuration. had to " no boot config flags block-snmp" and reboot. And it all worked.
