I think a few members have posted they have used third-party SFP+ modules.
As an FYI, some vendors sell their modules in 8-packs for better discounts.
We don't have any VSP's here, but on our Brocade connected VM Hosts we use Transition Networks modules without issue.  We have tested them in Avaya and Brocade switches as well.
Go to Anixter for the 8-pack pricing.  It's a good deal!

Avaya is not checking in the VSP7k the srials of the SFT+ modules, as Tankll mention 3rd Party SFP+
modules will work.
There is also a number of DAC cables from other vendors like e.g. HP, Cisco that are official support from Avaya to use them with the VSP7k.
