1) Did you copy the v5.1.8.3 firmware files for your modules to the boot flash?

2) Did you re-enable the blades after they update?  To re-enable a module, the command is "config slot <slot> state enable" in CLI or "no slot shutdown <slot>" in NNCLI.  JDM you just right click on the blade module and click enable.

you will need to make sure that files p80K5183.dld and p80J5183.dld files are on the local flash or PCMCIA card.

You might try pulling all the cards out the switch (except for the CPU) and insert them each one at a time.  When I had my failure a few weeks ago during an upgrade, the switch wouldn't bring the one working R card online until I pulled other two defective RS cards out of the switch.  Whether they were pulling down the backplane or the CPUs I don't know.  But it got me one working blade to get me working.
