Source based/Filter based forwarding in 5530
« on: February 07, 2014, 07:40:05 PM »
Dear Team,

I have two networks 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24 behind ERS5530.

ERS5530 do the Intervlan routing.

I have two upstream routers provided by Two ISP's(ISP1 and ISP2) respectively.

The task is to route traffic 192.168.1.0/24 towards ISP1 and 192.168.2.0/24 towards ISP2.
(source based or filter based routing)

Is it possible to achieve this? If possible kindly help with some sample configuration.

Thanks and regards,
AN

You can utilizing IP filtering to provide next-hop forwarding (essentially PBR) in the Avaya ERS stackables. However, I would recommend you leverage a router such as a Cisco 2900 series to provide that functionality.

Good Luck!

I am also interested in this feature, but I can't figure how to dot it in my ers5530. I am searching for qos acl in order to do some filtering, but with no success ...

Ok, so after some researchs, "IP forwarding next-hop" is available on 5600 series but no for 5530 ? It's frustrating :)

Maybe a Software update will add this feature for the 5530 in the future ?

Anyway I am stuck with ip filtering and I don't understand how to do some "source next hop" ... All I can do is shape, meter, priorize or block some traffic.

Help please :)
