Send port error to Syslog server.
« on: June 18, 2013, 08:28:49 AM »
Quick question : Is that possible to send port errors to the syslog server ?

Our HP Procurve do that by default because when a port is getting error, it log it into the event tab. So my syslog receive it.

Well it's very usefull because I can see when a port is getting a lot of error. For our Nortel/Avaya stuff, the only way I see is to log into the CLI and do the command on each port... Well I wont check that every day ! :P

Hi Guillaume,

I don't believe you can send port errors via syslog.  The only way I could monitor port errors was using SNMP.
