RSTP error eventnone
« on: April 08, 2014, 04:59:42 AM »
Hello guys,

I'm doing a new network installation based on a stack of 2 ERS4850's combined with 3524's as edge..

The network is a physical ring built on multimode fiber with the 4850's as RSTP root switches. At the moment we frequently loose connection to some of the systems attached to the network, but we can't find the explanation.

When we look at the link status, none of the ports have errors or go down. But when looking in the switch logfiles we notice these messages:

For some reason the tree root changes from time to time, being that the local switch becomes root. So it seems RSTP communication stops, but I can't find the explanation for that..

I already looked up the messages in the logs reference guide, but that doesn't help.

Thanks for the help
