Removing an LACP config
« on: November 18, 2015, 06:27:56 AM »
Hi,

When removing a port from a previously created LACP group, I've noticed that when viewing >

EDM > VLAN > MLT/LACP

the port remains displayed within this view. Confirming via CLI shows the port as removed. Screenshot attached.

I've tried resetting the port to the default configuration but no change. My customer has this on v7.1.3 and I've tried in my lab on v7.2.17. I seem to remember this being the same on 5.1.x as well. I've trawled release notes and can't find any mention of it.

Has anyone experienced this and/or spot something I'm missing?

thanks,

not sure what is your actual problem ?

On the EDM LACP Tab you see the standard parameters that can be configured for LACP.
As long you have the admin enbale checkbox not set LACP remains inactive.

In the moment you set admin enable the configured parameter will be activated.

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for the response. Basically, where I'm coming from is that before enabling LACP on a port that port does NOT display in EDM within VLAN > MLT/LACP > LACP as per screenshot 1 attached. In this example I am using port 2/25 as a reference.

I then configure LACP on port 2/25 so when looking at VLAN > MLT/LACP > LACP the port appears as expected.

Finally, I remove the LACP configuration but the port still remains within VLAN > MLT/LACP > LACP view. I'm happy that it's disabled as proven by confirming in CLI but why is it still showing within this EDM view?

There is no fault as such it's just a query as to why EDM still shows this view. As I said, I've seen it in v5.1, 7.1 & 7.2 and can't believe that nobody has noticed this before so assume I'm just doing something stupid?

Just to add to this. If I reboot the switch it clears it from the LACP view.
