Avaya did an interop test between AVAYA, HP, AL(NOKIA), Huawei and Spirent.

They published a report, but the google machine is having problems finding it.

So  not real life deployment...
I really like what Avaya SPBM offers  but even when TRILL is out of the picture ..
I don't see Juniper or Cisco joining ...
Shameful it's very elegant protocol that fixes many issues with Ethernet and IP.
I guess it's nothing to do with the SPB technology it's just layer 8 issues (politic and money)

I agree totally with your statement "...I guess it's nothing to do with the SPB technology it's just layer 8 issues (politic and money)..."
I personally see this behavior in my company  :'(

Cisco will always push their proprietary agenda.    TRILL, Fabric Path, and now ACI.

I would also like to echo the sentiments made by Sja.  I particularly like the Layer 8 reference. Never heard it before but I will begin using it now.  :)

Ever since I began reading up and watching videos about SPB, I was quite impressed.

If only we could go back to the glory days when Nortel was a leader (top 4 - Cisco, HP, 3Com, Nortel) in Enterprise networking.  :(

On an unrelated note. I saw the news that Broadcomm is going to purchase Brocade and sell off their network division - this after Brocade just bought Rukus.  *SIGH*.

Well nortel is gone....
I wrote about that level 8 issue because you have good technology that is based only on common standards
And it's still "Avaya's baby's" why is that?
I can get Cisco and Juniper that will push MPLS and EVPN based BGP.
I just don't get the other  enterprise vendors like HP ....
Trill is dead and they don't have a replacement...

Just to make things straight
I don't work or sells or have something to do with Avaya...
