Miss vlan on my ESR5650 Switch
« on: September 30, 2013, 10:16:51 AM »
Hello Everyone,

Some of ports on my ESR5650 Switch have some weird things happened. There are two VLANs, Date and Voice. Data VLAN is default VLAN, but sometimes, the Voice VLAN just disappeared on some of ports. Then Nortel phones lost communication with Server. I need add those ports in Voice VLAN again manually to fix the issue.

Does anyone have this issue before? Do you know why and how did you fix it? I appreciate any input. Thanks in advance.

First, upgrade your ERS5000 software to version 6.2.6 at a minimum (or 6.2.7).  The version you have is the very first 6.2.x version, and it had lots of bugs.

Hi David and welcome to the forums!

Is ADAC or LLDP-MED enabled on the ports?

Good Luck!

Thanks, Michael and telecom116,

The ADAC are enabled, but those ports weren’t showing up in MED local Policy table, until I Insert them into the list. I am not sure if it helps.
The issue is pretty random. It is not only focus on some ports. I might should try upgrade to a newer version. I will update once I have any progress.

Thanks again, I appreciate.

This issue was noly happening on those days, no more recentlly (2+ weeks). I check one of the port, EAP is not enabled.

But anyway, I upgrade devices to V6.3.2 yesterday.

Thanks everyone for your input. I apprecate it.

Hopefully your problem is gone with SW 6.3.2.  Give us an update, if the update has
fixed your problem or not.

Cheers
