LLDP Log Message?
« on: August 28, 2013, 04:57:31 PM »
I have an ERS 5632 running software v6.3.1 in my data room throwing these messages at my syslog server every few seconds.  But I am not sure what it's telling me.

lldpXMedTopologyChangeDetected,    Subtype = 1 Class = 0

Any ideas?

Not sure but I see the same on ERS 4850GTS-PWR+ switches with the latest code.

No idea why this switch decided to start using LLDP.  Is it looks like maybe LLDP is automatically enabled in v6.3.1 code.  I never used LLDP before on core switches, but it seems to be enabled now.  I had to go in and change the LLDP admin status on all the ports to disabled to stop those log messages.

I wouldn't mind finding out what those log messages still mean.  That being said it seems like LLDP is enabled now when your upgrade to v6.3.1.
