For 30 days you get all the features enabled then you either license them or go back to base.

Base License
Each new ERS8600/8800 chassis requires that a Base Software License Kit be purchased separately for
every chassis, as the Base Software License is not automatically included with an ERS8600/8800.
The Base Software License provides core Layer 2 switching, MLT, Distributed MLT, SMLT, SLT, QoS,
RIPv1/v2, OSPF & BGPv4 (up to 10 peers) IP routing, IPFIX, Security and VENA Unified Access
functionality.

Advanced License
If required, an Advanced license is purchased separately to the Base software license and unlocks
additional features to the base features when an advanced license file is installed.
ERS8800 series software release 7.1 or higher with an Advanced license enables the following features:
 BGPv4 (Border Gateway Protocol version 4, for more than 10 peers)
 BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection)
 MSDP (Multicast Source Discovery Protocol)
 PCAP (Packet Capture)
 IPv6 Features
o IP Routing
o IPv6 over SMLT and RSMLT
o DHCPv6 Relay
o VRRPv3
o BGP+
o RADIUSv6

Premier License
If required, a Premier license is purchased separately to the Base software license and unlocks all
possible features to the base features when a Premier license file is installed. If Premier licensed
feature(s) are required, then it is not necessary to purchase an Advanced license. A Premier license will
unlock both Advanced and Premier features (ALL features).
ERS 8800 series software release 7.1 or higher with a Premier license enables the Advanced license
features plus:
 VRF-Lite (Virtual Routing and Forwarding Lite version)
 Multicast Virtualization for VRF-Lite (IGMP and PIM-SM / SSM)
 MP-BGP (Multi-Protocol Border Gateway Protocol)
 IP-VPN MPLS RFC2547 (IP-Virtual Private Network, Multi-Protocol Label Switching RFC2547)
 IP-VPN-Lite (IP-in-IP) (IP-Virtual Private Network-Lite)
 IEEE 802.1ag Connectivity Fault Management
 SPB Features
o SPB L2 VSNs (VLAN Ext.)
o SPB Native IP shortcuts (VRF0 shortcuts)
o SPB L3 VSN (VRF extensions)
o IP VPN Lite over SPB IP Shortcuts
o InterISID Routing
o IP Multicast over SPB

Hi dekdek,

When you purchase an advanced license, you should get a voucher, which tells you how to get the license.

I believe you have to logon to an Avaya License server, where you add the details of the voucher and then you will be able to download the license and add to your Network device?

CheerZ and good luck

Exactly, then you just need to edit the boot config to load it every time you reboot the device
