LAG Avaya/Nortel ERS5510 to Juniper

Good morning,

I need assistance w/ setting up LAG between 5510 and EX4300. I've searched online and I've tried several times to get it to work, but no luck.

Here's config

Avaya 5510

My goal is to run MSTP over LAG connecting Avaya to Juniper. I've successfully configured MSTP w/o LAG and verified it's working properly, but I'm having difficulty w/ the LAG. I've read documentation, specifically Avaya and it's limited. Michael McNamara post seem to be the only resources out there that provide detailed explanations and configs. I was wondering if any others have had success w/ the setup and if they have please provide some information about the config.

Hello Wetbuttons,

i'm thinking both side of your LAG are in passive mode.
try to switch to active mode.

Avaya 5510:
enable
conf t
int f 1,2
lacp mode active

Juniper :
set interfaces ae0 aggregated-ether-options lacp active


both side can be active but can't be passive.
it's recommanded to be one side active, one side passive. but when both side are active, it works too.
