LACP configuration VSP 7024 --> HPE 6125XLG Blade switch
« on: August 21, 2018, 09:39:13 AM »
Hi folks.

I have a VSP 7024 stack that I want to connect to 2 HPE 6125XLG blade switches in an HP blade chassis.  First I have to figure out how to create an IRF between the 2 HP blade switches so appear as 1 switch.  That's an HP specific challenge.  The next challenge is to create an LACP link between the VSP and the HPE.

I've been going through HP's documentation that I could get my hands on.  I've never used HP switches before so it is a bit confusing.  LACP on the VSP is pretty simple, but on the HPE.....  I'm lost.  So many options I don't understand.

Does anyone have experience in creating an LACP trunk on HP and connecting it to an Avaya/Extreme switch?

Thanks for any tips/tricks you may have.   ;D

I've never worked with these models of blade switches, but I've noticed that they to have SPB support. Have you looked for that in the documentation? It might be the easy way around the LACP problem...
