Issue trying to recover ERS2500 with agent code
« on: May 22, 2013, 04:35:39 PM »
HI

I am trying to recover an ERS2500 because the agent code will not load.  I have done this dozens of times without issue. however this little switch is putting up a fight.

I have a TFTP server on my laptop at 192.168.1.100 pointing to the 2500 image file.
I am connected into that 2500 on port one.

I go through the download process. use defaults for all the settings, give the switch an IP and identify the TFTP address.  however the port 1 never comes up and the TFTP transfer times out after 2 seconds.

i tried this out with an ERS4500 I have in my lab.  that TFTP session times out after 90 seconds.  But for some reason this 2500 just doesn't want to open up that port long enough.

looks like this is a known issue.

however, these are the exact steps I have taken to correct the issue to no avail.
