InterVLAN routing help needed
« on: June 06, 2014, 01:51:13 PM »
Have 5 4850GTS-PWR+ switches in stack, need to configure multiple vlans and have them communicate - 2 vlans are voice and data - need them to share ports and set up tagging/qos.

New to Avaya - the switches are awesome, but i was trained on cisco and none of my commands seem to apply. Thanks in advance!

Hi joelwood.

Here are some documents that should help.  It's a lot of reading, but since you're familiar with Cisco, they should help you make the transition.

NN47205-506 - Configuration IP Routing and Multicast Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 4000 Series
http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100152760

NN47205-504 - Configuration Quality of Service Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 4000 Series
http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100152757

NN47205-501 - Configuration VLANs, Spanning Tree, and Multi-Link Trunking Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 4000 Series
http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100152753

I hope this helps and welcome to Avaya.  :-)
