How do I add a static mac to a 5600
« on: May 04, 2014, 07:57:19 PM »
Hi all,

I need to add a static mac to a 5650 but I cannot find how to do it.  In a 4850 there is a command:
mac-address-table static <H.H.H.> <vid> interface <interfacetype> <interface-id>

but I cannot find how to do it in a 5600.  Am I going nuts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Ian

Hi Ian,

seems that "feature" is currently still available for ERS-4000 only.
I can't find this in v6.3 / v6.6 builds (ERS-5000/ERS-5600).

Maybe it would make sense to create an GRIP-Request for this if you need this for your normal operations.

Good luck

Hi,

No option available for 5650 on build 6.6 to create a static mac. You can create only a static arp.
