Hi Nosobna

welcome to the forum.

it sounds like you a networking beginner, not just a Cisco beginner. You will find everyone here helpful and friendly.

First lesson in Data Networking is that Data Networking does not necessary mean "Cisco".  There are allot of other companies out there making switches and routers. Cisco just happens to be one of them.

if this is your entry into Data Networking and you are serious about a Career in Data Communications i would start with these two books.

http://shop.oreilly.com/product/9780596002756.do   (IP Routing)

http://shop.oreilly.com/product/9781565926608.do   (Ethernet)

If you are looking for a quick lesson on IP routing, subnetting and networking basics and I would start with YOUTUBE.  There is tons of great content up there.

Hi Nosobna

welcome to the forum.

First lesson in Data Networking is that Data Networking does not necessary mean "Cisco".

Amen.

Nosobna

This sounds very much like homework.  I'm guessing the scenario the questions were based on was lengthy and you didn't want to type the whole thing into your question here.  Without that background information so we would know what the list of requirements are there is an infinite number of solutions and no way to give you a definitive answer.

If you really want help with those questions, we'll need to see the full scenario and list of requirements.
