I hope this is the right category. If it is wrong, please moveHi,
we have 9 HP-Blade-Enclosure that are connected to the Network with LACP like this:
http://blog.michaelfmcnamara.com/2009/08/lacp-configuration-examples-part-3/Everthing works fine, but then we have a problem to get a SMLT to a ERS5650 up.
In Log We found this :
KHI WARNING Slot 1 Middle Lane is experiencing F2X Errors - F2E Packet Parity Error
KHI WARNING Slot 2 Middle Lane is experiencing F2X Errors - F2E Packet Parity Error
KHI WARNING Slot 2 Left Lane is experiencing F2X Errors - F2E Packet Parity Error
KHI INFO Slot 1 Right Lane is experiencing F2X Errors - FOQ Drops
KHI INFO Slot 7 Middle Lane is experiencing F2X Errors - FOQ Drops
We open a Ticket by Avaya.
We change a 8612LXR5-Card (two times), Gbic and Chassis. Nothing helps.
After some time, CPU-Switch-Over happens because the utilization was to high.
This happens 4 times.
After we change both 8692CPU the SMLT came up. But the Message in the Log still there.
By seeking the reason of the utilization, we find out the uplinks to the GbE2c L2/L3 switches have many Flowcontrol Packets.
The Avaya-Support give us the advice to upgrade the ERS8610 from 7.1.5.0 to 7.2.1.1
After we update the Software on the GbE2c L2/L3 switches to 5.2.8 and Update the ERS8610 to 7.2.1.1 the Flowcontrol-counter is still high.
For example 12 hours after Update :

In Log the are still Messages like this:
KHI INFO Slot 1 Right Lane is experiencing F2X Errors - FOQ Drops
What can I do to reduce the Flowcontrol Packets?
I think there ist a connection between the high Utilization and the Flowcontrol Packets.
Regards
Udo
