ERS 5520 No internet to VLANs
« on: December 09, 2014, 08:55:03 PM »
Hello all,

I have an ERS 5520-48T-PWR on SW 6.3.3 that I'm attempting to setup for my homelab.

I have VLANS setup on both my Ubiquiti ERPOE-5 and the 5520, port 1 of the switch is trunked to eth1 of the router. The computer that I have hooked up to the switch successfully pulls the DHCP Reservation I have set from the router but I have no internet access.

Tried tracert to 8.8.8.8 - Returned Transmit error: code 1231
Pinged from computer (192.168.10.2) to router LAN (192.168.10.254) fine, cannot ping 192.168.20.254 or 192.168.1.254 - returns PING: transmit failed. General Failure.

Port 1 is setup to allow VLANs 1,10, and 20 and TagAll.

It would much appreciated if you could explain what and why something is wrong, if more info is needed let me know!

Thanks!

Hi smbonn2005,

I guess it make sense to attach your running-config of your ERS-5520 here.
Per default, IP-Routing is not enabled on stackable portfolio of ERS-Series.

Good luck

Thanks for the response, figured it out today though, unnoticed mistype on the router config. DHCP settings didn't have a default gateway set since i typed it wrong >.<
