Does ERS5650 support ACL? and how to do it?
« on: February 19, 2014, 11:57:37 AM »
I am tiring to block traffic from one VLAN to another VLAN on ESR5650, My plan is putting an ACL on VLAN interface (like on a Cisco device), but, after I google the topic, I couldn’t find an ACL configuration guide or an example. Does ERS5650 suppor ACL? does anybody have experience? Thank you very much.

ERS5650(config)#int vlan 7
ERS5650(config-if)#?
VLAN Interface configuration commands:
default  Set a command to its defaults
end      Exit from interface configure mode
exit     Exit from interface configuration mode
ip       Configure L3 parameters on a vlan
  ipv6     Configure IPv6 parameters on a vlan
no       Negate a command or set its defaults
vrf      Associate a VRF to a VLAN
ERS5650(config-if)#ip ?
Configure L3 parameters on a vlan
address             assign IP addr to a vlan
  arp-proxy           Configure Proxy ARP
dhcp-relay          Configure DHCP relay for a vlan
  directed-broadcast  Configure IP directed-broadcast
  forward-protocol    Configure broadcast forwarding
fwd-nh              Change IP forwarding next-hop config settings
  igmp                Configure per-vlan IGMP settings
  ospf                Configure OSPF settings
  pim                 Configure per-vlan PIM settings
  rip                 Configure RIP settings
routing             Enable L3 routing on a VLAN
vrrp                Change VR settings or associate addresses

Hi,

Try to google for avaya route policies (ip routing docs). This is the equivalent for ACLs.

Could you be more specific? As far as I can tell from the Avaya docs, route policies are not the same as ACLs als mentioned in the original posts.

Depending what you want to do, there are a lot of options.
A "route policy" (avaya) filters routes (also traffic coming from that route). If you want a "traffic filter" using QoS is a good choice, but qos is more complicated:
(config)#qos acl-assign ?
  <1-55000>  Access-list assignment ID
port       Specify the port(s) to apply access-list on
