CONFIGURE VLAN FOR TELEPHONE, PC AND ACCESS POINT
« on: September 08, 2013, 09:34:09 AM »
Hi all,

Recently I read the post (untagAll vs tagAll on Avaya Ethernet Routing Switches) how to configure trunk ports, access, etc. I have some questions:

01. - The settings you made do with Vlan configuration Control "Stric, Automatic, AutoPvid, Flexible".

02. - Which of the recommended configurations of question 01.

03. - As I understand the articles of Avaya (doc collection) and read post for connecting single pc, printer, server (no trunk port), so serious (Untag All - Acess port). Is it correct or not?

04.-To connect (switch ------- ip phone------ PC (phone back port)) serious (Untag PVID Only) removing the vlan VID of the data and leaving unchanged the Vlan voice for the outbound packet switch port. Is it correct or not?

05. - When using settings (Untag PVID Only) is this using the 802.1q protocol, therefore, the IP phone should be configured to specify the 802.1q protocol on the phone which are the data and voice vlan. Is it correct or not?

These 02 last questions are as important as the above:

06. - How should I configure the Avaya switch ports (ERS-25XX, 35XX, 4XXX, 5XXX) when I put an AP from another seller when only spreads 01 SSID.

07. - Same as question 06 but with multiple SSID and multiple Vlan in the AP, the switch port should be Tag All or Untag All.

Thanks.

If you poke around, both Mike and I have posted our configuration guides multiple times.
They include ADAC (automatic detection and configuration) for phones as well as QOS settings for supporting Access Points.
