configuration of routed port in avaya ERS4000 and vsp4000
« on: May 24, 2016, 05:06:40 AM »
Greetings,

Anyone knows what is the equivalent configuration of Cisco "no switchport" in Avaya switch? Equivalent configuration of avaya ERS4000 and VSP4000 to make as routed port

Sounds like you are looking for a brouter port or just a VLAN with a single port attached to it maybe?  Just create a VLAN with an IP address and put a single port in the VLAN.  Any traffic then has to route on that port as there are no other switch ports it could switch with in that VLAN.  There are specific brouter port commands as well if you want to use the CLI (ick).  Should work on the ERS4000's.  Not sure about the VSP4000's as I don't have one to play with.

brouter [port <brouter_port>] vlan <vid> subnet <ip_address/mask> [routing enable]
