Change of Management VLAN Avaya 8800
« on: October 22, 2015, 08:01:48 AM »
Hi All,

Very basic question, I have just added another VLAN in the GLobal VRF of our 8800 and now I am unable to backup configurations using TFTP. When I look at the logs, I can see that the source address from which the backup is coming has changed to the newly confugred VLAN IP.

How do I change the source of the tftp traffic coming from the Global VRF?

Thanks,
Maj

Humm.  Maybe put a static route on the box to the TFTP server?

Thanks Telair, I have already got a route back to the TFTP Server Network. So not sure this is going to help.

I was thinking maybe put a specific /32 route to the TFTP server to try and force it to use the right interface.

This is why Avaya/Nortel have always recommended CLIP addresses for management, then it doesn't matter which interface your traffic exits from.
