I need to join a pair of Avaya Switches [VSP7024XT], linked with an IST, to a pair of Dell Switches [S4148T-ON] linked with a VLT.
I am presuming LACP is the way to go.

I am not familiar with the Avaya switches - These are in ERS mode rather than VSP.
The Avaya have multiple SMLTs and VRRP setup.

Virtual Services Platform 7024XT      HW:02       FW:  SW:v10.3.2.010 BN:10 (c) Avaya Networks

Does anyone know how to setup a LACP trunk on the Avaya side?
Does it need to be LACP over SMLT?

Any help greatly appreciated.

This is what I am thinking:

AVAYA switch A -IST- switch B
DELL switch C -VST - switch D

A/21,22 and B/21,22 to form LACP to switch C/58,59 and D/58,59

Avaya config

(using lacp key 30, mlt 30 ,smlt 30)

conf t
lacp port-mode advance
interface Ethernet 21,22
lacp key 30
lacp mode active

As the Avayas are in an IST do I need to do anything like add this to an SMLT?

lacp key 30 mlt 30 smlt 30

this is what I think I need to do - but would appreciate any Avaya people's comments - thank you

Update - I just went ahead and configured it this way and it worked.
