Hi guys.

I have a simple question yet I can't find my answer in the documentation.

I have this switch and I want to connect  switch and a firewall. So basically it will be my link to the outside.

So I Want configure an ip address in a port.

ip address 192.168.10.1 for my firewall and  192.168.10.2 for my switch.

That's it.

Hello Gerson,

there are several possibilities for this, but the simplest is to just configure the switch with an ip address globally for the machine. This is tied to the management vlan, which by default is 1..

the commands are:
enable
config term
ip address switch ip.ip.ip.ip mask.mask.mask.mask  (or ip address stack ......... in case you have a stack)

Hi Gerson!

You have configured vlan with ip or you may be planning?

Exsample:
en
conf t

vlan configcontrol automatic

vlan create 100 name "192-168-0-0/24" type port
vlan members add 100 1-20

interface vlan 100
ip address 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 2
ip igmp snooping
exit

ip routing

#change your router ip to 192.168.0.2 mask 255.255.255.0

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.0.2 - path to router from switch for internet connection routing

Computers default-gateway 192.168.0.1

This is an exemplary configuration. Then it all depends on your needs and the imagination.
