Avaya 3650 stack issue
« on: October 29, 2020, 12:59:31 PM »
Hey everyone, I hope you're all well.

Hope someone can help me with a problem I'm having with an Avaya 3650 stack. I have 2 switches, connected together with stack cables in ports 49 and 50 of each switch

Switch 1 - 10.129.0.99
Switch 2 - 10.129.0.98
Stack IP - 10.129.0.11

Here's some outputs:

=======================================================
Switch 1

3650GTS-PWR+#show stack-info
Unit# Switch Model     Pluggable Pluggable Pluggable  Pluggable SW Version
                         Port      Port      Port       Port
----- ---------------- --------- --------- --------- ---------- ----------
1     3650GTS-PWR+     (47) None (48) None (49) Dir.  (50) Dir. v6.0.0.007
3650GTS-PWR+#show stack-monitor
Status: disabled
Stack size: 2
Trap interval: 60

Switch 2

3650GTS-PWR+#show stack-info
Unit# Switch Model     Pluggable Pluggable Pluggable  Pluggable SW Version
                         Port      Port      Port       Port
----- ---------------- --------- --------- --------- ---------- ----------
1     3650GTS-PWR+     (47) None (48) None (49) Dir.  (50) Dir. v6.0.0.007
3650GTS-PWR+#show stack-monitor
Status: disabled
Stack size: 2
Trap interval: 60

=======================================================

The problem I'm having is I cannot get the stack to form.

On both switches, port 49 is in vlan 1281. This is also the default vlan and tagging is set to untagAll (access)
On both switches, port 50 is in vlan 1. This is also the default vlan and tagging is set to untagAll (access)

Could someone point me in the right direction as to what I am doing wrong? More screenshots or configuration can be provided if required.

Thanks very much.
