8630GBR brick
« on: August 28, 2014, 01:33:35 PM »
Anyone know of a method for recovering an 8630GBR that was reset before a version upgrade finished?  I'm having it sent to me to see if anything can be done but I am feeling it will serve as a wonderful slot cover now.  And no, I didn't do it but my Telco owned operations center did ugh...

I would try to pull it in a LAB ERS8k Chassis ...  fingers crossed and you will see if the 8030GBR will be recognized.

If you become nothing back from the module there is nothing that I am aware of that you can do besides sending it to the Avaya support.

Itīs always the networks fault!

I had a few occasions where a 8630GBR would not boot in a specific chassis but if I moved it to another chassis then it would boot fine. I used the second chassis to upgrade the FPGA and software and that seemed to have fixed it.

Cheers!
