8600 and LACP configuration
« on: May 06, 2013, 07:02:45 PM »
Greetings all,

I have been troubleshooting some latency issues to from a C7000 w/GbE2c connected to a ERS8600 with multiple LACP pairs from each switch,  I noticed that every port is set with lacpActive even if they are NOT part of any LACP config, is that an 8600 default?

Also I attached a copy of one configured LACP interface, does this config appear to be missing anything?  I didn't configure any of this so I hope it was done correctly...  thx in advance!

Ziggy

Yes LACP active is the default setting. The name is a littlebit confusing, to make things clear as long as you didnīt have the "Admin enable" setting checked all LACP settings are inactive.

So configure all the needed parameters to your Port and enable the config with "adminenable".
Make sure all the ports that have to build up a Link Aggregation hsvr thr same ActorAdminKey.

You can check out the 3 LACP config examples on Michaels Blog for more details:

Good Luck
