5500 Advanced Licensing question
« on: November 19, 2014, 12:18:32 PM »
Ok, so I'm about to create a redundant cluster with two 5510's.  As of yet, we've never applied and advanced license to a 5500.  All our other existing clusters are 5632's and VSP7000's and those were done pre-production.

The two switches in question are production machines.

What I'm wondering is, will there any reboots required or losses of connectivity during the process?

I need to know about disruptions so I know when best to schedule the work.

Also, I'm wondering if the process differs in any significant way from applying licenses to a 5600/7000?

Applying licenses is the same for the 5XXX series.
It does require a reboot to take affect.
