Wing 5.7.2 Extended Range Option
« on: October 27, 2015, 12:53:43 PM »
Anyone else upgrade to 5.7.2 and lose the extended range option in the advanced radio settings for AP-7181?

Right now I just have the controller upgraded and a single test AP and the option is gone under the individual APs profile overrides. I found a 5.7.1 manual and found that the option should be there. I did find it under the profile settings, but we don't want to set a bunch of radios to have an extended range, it should just be one or two radios here and there.

Maybe I need to try dropping down to 5.7.1??

Just an update on this issue. Motorola acknowledged a "whoops" moment. This feature will be reintegrated in 5.8.2. For now you have to manage extended-range from the cli.

I believe they mentioned that in the release notes for 5.7

Yes, it is supposed to be there, but it was missing in the GUI. I just got an email from the Zebra tech a couple of weeks ago they are adding it back in in 5.8.2. It is there in the 5.7 release, but just has to be managed from the CLI.
