Upgrading Motorola WS5100 and ES3000
« on: December 04, 2017, 05:32:04 PM »
Back in 2008, my company hired a third party to install two Motorola ES3000 switches/controllers (firmware V1.0.0.0-915R) and a WS5100 (firmware v3.1.0.0-045R), and seven Symbol AP300 WAPs.

Apparently this old firmware, requires a very old version of Java to connect and view the gui and make changes. Does anyone know what that might be?

Does anyone also know the last known firmware versions of these devices, and an upgrade path/process to get them to the final?

And does someone have those firmware downloads?

We would consider hiring someone that has the ability to help us remotely to do this. I suspect I'd have to install a virtual Windows XP machine on my notebook with VirtualBox, to get an environment that could talk to these devices?
