RFS7000 in DMZ L2TPv3 Issue
« on: October 04, 2013, 04:33:03 PM »
Hey guys,

I am trying to create an L2TPv3 tunnel between my two RFS7000s. The concept is similar to Cisco Anchor controller topology.
I have one RFS in DMZ, and one in remote site (Lab environment).  I followed the Motorola guide (see attachment), and I was able to establish the tunnel connection. However, after I reloaded the RFS in DMZ. I couldn't get the tunnel to work anymore.

I used the command show l2tpv3 tunnel-summary, but this is what it shows:
RK2RFS7000-02#show l2tpv3 tunnel-summary
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sl No  Tunnel Name                      Tunnel State       Estd/Total Sessions   Encapsulation Protocol
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total Number of Tunnels 0
RK2RFS7000-02#

This is what I have on the remote RFS
RK2RFS7000-01#show l2tpv3 tunnel-summary
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sl No  Tunnel Name                      Tunnel State       Estd/Total Sessions   Encapsulation Protocol
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 1     VLAN301-L2TPv3                   Idle                    0/1              IP
Total Number of Tunnels 1
RK2RFS7000-01#

This is the profile that I have on the RFS in DMZ

!
profile rfs7000 RFS7000-02
 l2tpv3 tunnel VLAN301-L2TPv3
peer 1 hostname any router-id any
  session VLAN301 pseudowire-id 301 traffic-source vlan 301
  establishment-criteria cluster-master
!

I also attached a screenshot of the GUI version of the L2TPv3 config.
I have reloaded the RFS several times and even reset it back to factory default, but no luck.
