RFS6000 simultaneous-user
« on: September 25, 2013, 04:33:42 AM »
Hi,
i've configured simultaneous-user to 1 for my captive portal.
It is working but not with the expected behaviour:
firts client logon through captive portal, second client logon with the same username and disconnect the first clinet.

I expect that the first client will stay connected, and the second will be deny access.

Is the a normal behaviuor?

Best regards.

Can the freeradius do more functions than the built-in  WiNG radius? e.g. Can it do "limit user to 100MB" or "allow user total 1 hour to use anytime"?

These are functions I would like to use if they are available. I find that the on-board radius is very limited.

Hi,

you can do whatever you want with freeradius.
It is very powerfull, but can be very tricky to configure.
Internet is full of documentation about it.

Don't forget to configure the accounting server in the RFS6000.

Regards.
