RFS6000 and AP7522E
« on: April 01, 2016, 04:04:52 AM »
Hi

My configuration is two RFS6000 in cluster and several AP650 + AP7522 (L2 layer). I bought additional AP (unfortunately 7522E) and can't adopt. I try to adopt by setting controller ip address (by web) on AP but without success. Config attached. Any clues?

Hi probin,

you canīt use Express APs in normal RFS enviroment! This Kind of APs are only compatible with Express Managers like VX9000E, NX5500E, etc.
Wing is Wing and Express is Express, no mixed mode possible!

We first bought into the Zebra platform just last year. During our evaluation, I was also looking at some of the Express equipment, because size-wise we're right on the line between the two options. I'd swear that at one point my RFS4010 had somehow adopted the AP7522E I was playing with.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to repeat that. I still have that Express AP, but I have to run it in a part of campus that's not yet updated to our new platform.
