RFS 6000 Wing 4.x MTU changing
« on: April 01, 2014, 09:03:53 AM »
Good day!
Help me find the answer to the question please: How do I change the MTU on the interfaces?
I can't find information in Motorola Solutions WING 4.4 Wireless Controller CLI Reference Guide (Part No. 72E-157063-01)

Why are you looking to change the MTU?

I believe the RFS4000 automatically supports Jumbo Frames on it's Ethernet interfaces and will automatically detect the ability of the network to support Jumbo Frames between the Wireless LAN Switch and the Access Port. There's no point in "disabling" Jumbo Frame support... the switch will automatically detect if the network can support frames larger than 1500 bytes.

Michael hi!
Look!

I have this:

Moto MC3190 -->AP --> RFS6000 ---> WAN--> Core office Data base.

Internet Service Provider req MTU less then 1500.

I need :

MC3190 --MTU<1500--> RFS6000 ---> WAN --> Core office Data base

or

MC3190 --default mtu--> RFS6000 --MTU <1500 --->WAN --> Core office Data base

Any ideas?

Thx
