MAC Filtering - WiNG 5.6.1
« on: April 24, 2015, 09:20:37 AM »
First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this.  Is there a way to MAC filter an SSID, so that only certain clients can connect to it based on MAC address?  In the Cisco wireless controller, you simply checked the "MAC Filtering" checkbox.  Then in the security section, you would input the MAC addresses of the devices that were allowed access.  I can't seem to find that particular setup, in WiNG.  If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!  Thanks!

There is a way - have you tried RTFM ?

Look up "association ACL" in the user guide

here are some sumples on CLI:

association-acl-policy test
show context
permit <STARTING-MAC> precedence <1-1000>
'no deny 00-00-00-00-00-00 precedence 1   ' will delete the line
permit 00-A0-F8-32-AF-41 precedence 2
'no permit 00-A0-F8-32-AF-41 precedence 2  '   ""

Hi Goose,

I'm a beginner,

I'm using VX9000 with several VLANs and ACLs in the controller. I'm struggling to adding a MAC address in ACL through GUI.

Kindly I request you to share me how to add a list of MAC addresses in a ACL(including creation) along with a example.

Thanks in advance.  :) :) :)
