Limiting bandwidth to a network Guest
« on: May 31, 2013, 09:12:24 AM »
Dear All,

The customer has a total bandwidth of 100Mbps (theoretical value). He would like me to cut the bandwidth between two WLAN.
It asks 80% for the WLAN1 and 20% for WLAN2.
I'm working in WING5.3 with RFS7000.
Do you have any idea how to do ?

Thank you very much for your help.

Cheers !
David.

Hello David,
Did you investigate the options which are available under Configuration->Wireless->WLAN QoS Policy ?
Here is where you can set rate limits, and you then apply these policies to the relevant WLANs.

Hello,
Yes, I am going to setup last week. I have created several different policy with bandwidth restrictions.
My only problem is to test it and also the difference between the theoretical values and the real values.
I keep you informed. If you want, I can get an screenshot.
Cheers,
David
