Is it possible to transfer the AP license from RFS6000 to RFS7000?

I don't believe so although you'd need to contact Motorola support to get the true answer.

Thanks for your reply, since WiNG 5.5 support NOC, a lot of our customer are interested in NOC, but they all spent a lot of money on the AP / AAP License purchase on RFS6000s on each remote sites.

just need to know if they need the AP License on RFS7000 or not, thanks!

to my opinion you only need a license per wireless switch when deploying a NOC with hierarchical management.

I understand there are 2 license options for 5.5, you can choose:

1) You can have all your license for all APs and RFS on your "NOC master".
or
2) Each branch can keep their own AP licenses on their local RFS, the NOC master only requires a license for each RFS it is managing.

But I have never actually touched 5.5 yet, so I'm not 100% sure

Hi McNulty,

that is true, but you can not transfer the licenses from existing RFS6000 to the RFS7000.
