Captive portal and policy time
« on: August 13, 2013, 04:33:17 AM »
Hi,

i'm trying to implement policy time with captive portal.
User are authenticated through ldap, and i'm asking me if it is possible to restrict access with policy time?
Or is it possible only with eap?

I follow the How_To_Active_Directory_Authentication_Rev_B, but currently wherever i apply the radius policy (on the rfs profile or on the device), policy time isn't apply.

Is is a known issue?

Best regards.

Sure,

on the rfs6000, you are able to implement policy time to restrict access to the wireless network.
From the Captive_Portal_Design_Guide, you can find example:
radius-group TMELABS-GUEST
guest
policy ssid TMELABS-GUEST
policy day mo
policy day tu
policy day we
policy day th
policy day fr
policy time start 08:00 end 18:00

Regards.

I have a smiler setup where by user are restricted by time and day. The users authenticate against Active Directory via radius and the AD account has restriction on when the account will allow authentication.

Hi,

thanks for your response.
My goal is similar, however i use an open-ldap.
Maybe i'm confused with the guest option.
Can you show me part of your working configuration?

Regards.
