AP6532 - Flashing Amber
« on: May 24, 2013, 04:03:19 AM »
I have a strange issue where some of our AP6532's are flashing Amber. Motorola documentation says this refers to a problem with the 5Ghz radio. The problem is I have disabled the 5GHz radio so there shouldn't be any errors at all.

We're also having reports of devices 'dropping out' in the same area but I'm reluctant to say its related as the devices use don't use the 5GHz frequency.

Using Wing 5.2

Any ideas?

Which firmware are you using.
There was a bug in some older firmware versions where the flashing behavior was broken.

Wing v5.2.0.0-069R

Are the bugs found in firmware publicised anywhere?

You may download the Release Notes of each firmware version from support.symbol.com,
but you have to request the download first.

Here is snippet from the release notes of firmware 5.2.1.0‐021R
