« on: January 23, 2014, 04:29:53 AM »
Hi,

I try to set manualy transmit power for 2.4 Ghz n 5 Ghz radio, with smart it set to 15(2.5) n 16(5). I Try to set it to a higher value for example 20, but it cant, i already set it in profile or device, but it keep show in statistic "Power Current(Config)" 15(20). Btw i use juniper ex switch, anyone experiencing the same problems

Check your country regulation:
#show wireless regulatory device-type apXXXX XX(country-code)

and I believe that max power is this number minus antenna gain if you put there something.

I tried put there 20 as well but I was allowed just for 18-19 dBm.

I believe thats mean WR (World) and WW (World wide) and it should be same - just other countries then US  ;) maybe in WW are some aditional ones. But if you upgdade AP to WiNG 5.x with "country-code de" then it will be automaticaly changed to EU version. Actualy which version AP and WiNG do you have? I had issue on 5.2 and 5.3 with regulatory channels - and only upgrade to 5.4+ fixed it. Maybe it will fix power as well.

This ap came with 5.2 firmware n then I upgrade to wing 5.4.4, do you mean there is a subset of ww/wr version which is eu version and its automaticly changes depends the last country we set. Can i change/roll back to ww/wr, because i actualy want to change to indonesia where i deploy the ap.

Well you can try change country code and you will see. If it said that it is not possible then it was changed to EU version and as I know you will need to revert it back to older version of WiNG - i believe to some WiNG 4 version, then you will be able to change country code. But i never tried this.
