« on: November 12, 2014, 02:07:16 AM »
Hello guys.

First question, ACS just assign the channels at radio adopt correct ? If i want monitoring the channel and auto-assign a new I need to enable Self Healing or Smart RF ?

Second, Some one used Self Healing in production enviroment ? Works well ?

You are correct in Wing4.x ACS will set the channel on boot up or radio resets.  What you are looking for is SmartRF to manage channel and power.  SmartRF will set some radios as detectors which will effectively be monitoring for radios going offline and establishes the self-healing scenario.  My experience in high density environments is not good since when radios perform a smart-rf calibration they can't service clients so you can only schedule it at certain times of the day.  Smart-RF works much better in Wing5.x where it can dynamically tune the environment without causing big disruptions in the environment.  You can also in Wing5.x use smart-rf commands to see some sources of interference like competing APs which can be very helpful.
