HTC Eris Droid - Verizon
« on: September 01, 2011, 09:12:14 PM »
I had to go looking for the HTC Eris Droid driver from HTC today so I could sync the local calendar on the phone with the wife's Microsoft Outlook, and then sync that with Google. It seems she created all her calendar events under "My Calendar" and not the "Google" calendar so nothing sync'd when I tried to replace her smartphone today.

All this fun...

I used my original Motorola Droid and installed GPA17 from Peter Alfonso. I'm going to post a blurb on my blog about the adventure.

I'm probably going to give CyanogenMod a test drive as well. I'm curious to see the OpenVPN functionality.

Cheers!

CyanogenMod is pretty nice, i use FroShedYo, i have been happy with it.. its 2.2 (Froyo) not 2.3 but still runs smoth.

I did try a 2.3 build and it seemed to buggy (had it on for about a hour)

Link to 2.3 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944430

good luck
