Title: Juniper SRX EoS/EoL Annoucement
Post by: Telair on February 06, 2014, 12:50:40 PM
Looks like Juniper is declaring SRX routers with 512MB or 1GB of RAM as obsolete in favor of newer units with 2GB of RAM minimum.  I know a couple people who are not going to be happy about this having purchased SRX210's with 1GB just a couple months ago.  At the time that was the highest amount possible in the SRX210 line.

At least support doesn't end until 2018.

I think the new certain software features demand more memory. I know a lot of people who will continue to use the older memory SRX models for some time and this shouldn't be an issue if you are doing basic firewall/vpn.
